It is with much sadness that once again, a church my entire family once called home, has been absent in our time of need. Different circumstances and ghastly events over the years have caused for many of us to breakaway and seek spirituality elsewhere while my grandparents remained loyal supporters. Through several transitions, they stayed active and supported the church by donating time, money, and their presence religiously. One's final journey home should never have to be traveled without the presence of their Church and Pastor. Thankfully, Chaplains from other organizations have graciously chosen to fill your empty shoes and embrace my family, my grandmother, and her faith as their own. I encourage the congregation, Elders, and Pastor to evaluate the current practices in place for guidance and support and open your arms to your members in need without hesitation or excuses.
