As a preteen and adult, i have felt and witnessed nothing but kindness, love, and scripture acted out. These church is historical and compassionate. I feel honored to say that this was where i chose to be baptized in my youth, and i know …

Always food for thought. A loving Christ and a spiritual way of looking at life

Nice church but very poor winter shelter for the homeless. There's more space for the men than the women. And I know that this is a low barrier place, but they even allow people soaked and caked in fecal matter and urine inside and don't make them wash. Everyone else just has to breathe in those toxic chemicals and they wonder why people are sick. So if you're homeless and need a place to stay, come here but be prepared to smell and breathe in feces and urine and staff tell you they can't do anything else.

Wonderful, thought provoking sermons that manage to entertain yet pull no punches. Pastor Doug is a gifted speaker. Truly welcoming community. Half of the choir are members of the Pittsburgh opera. That alone is worth an hour of your time on Sunday. If you haven't visited with Jesus for awhile, Smithfield is the perfect place to become reacquainted and get inspired.

I miss worshiping at the church. Pastor Doug Patterson is an inspiring speaker and person. Rev Cherian is also inspiring. The music is beautiful and the church is gorgeous. I find great peace and solace there. Rev Doug is inclusive and welcomes all. It is a wonderful experience. This is a true Pittsburgh treasure.

nice people, that are doing everything they can THEMSELVES to help the homeless get on their feet and shelter them. They even fight certain government policies that prevent homeless from getting sheltered at certain time... Good on them. We need more places like this.

My Brother Rudy and I were there on November the 13th 2016 attending services before the Dallas and Pittsburgh game. We were lucky to have gone there early and met some of the members there which greeted us with open arms. We had seen the netting around the church building and asked why they had netted the building thinking as you did DAN Zunko that it was to keep the wildlife away(pigeons). But what is happening is both the exterior and interior is starting to fall apart and they had to protect the public from falling debris hence the netting on the outside of the church building. Cost of repairs are estimated over 4 million. I can't tell you how uplifting the services were at a time where both my brother and I were at such a spiritual low. I'll keep praying that they find the monies needed to repair that beautiful place which serves as a haven for so many.

Don't know anything about what goes on inside, but I can tell you that this is an architectural masterpiece. Too bad there has to be netting all over it to keep the pigeons out.
