Salem Reformed Church in Bethel, PA, is an independent Christian congregation with a 215-year history. Our worship service is held at 10:30 AM on Sundays. We are actively involved in the community through the Council of Churches and support local missions and a food pantry. The church is seeking a part-time pastor to lead the congregation.

Salem Reformed Church in Bethel, PA, is an independent Christian congregation that has been a part of the community for 215 years. While none of the founding members currently attend, the church remains an active, though aging, congregation. Our worship experience on Sunday mornings is somewhat traditional, though we are accustomed to videos and slides on the screen. Though we are comfortable with a traditional framework in worship, we are not bound by the bulletin. We sing uplifting music and our small choir joyfully sounds forth each Sunday Worship Services.

The church is involved in the Council of Churches, which supports the local food pantry, and we also support a number of missions. We pack shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child and host Kids Club, an after-school activity once a month with over 60 children from grades 1st through 6th signed up to attend from our local school About Us.

We are centrally located to the major metro areas of Harrisburg, Reading, and Allentown PA. We are just 20 minutes from Cabela’s and minutes from Kauffman’s BBQ Chicken Ranch. We have a Sheetz in our community so MTO subs and other conveniences are just a mile away from the church.

We are seeking a part-time pastor to care for us and our community. A solid biblical faith based in the Christian tradition of great grace is required. Compensation will be for approximately 10-15 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate should be very relatable and visual with outreach-minded energy. Encourage us beyond our box!
