St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church was founded in January 1894 by Rev. Stephen Dzubay to serve the Byzantine Catholic immigrants in the coal and coke regions of Western Pennsylvania. The church has a long-standing tradition of community and faith, with a history that includes the construction of a wooden church in 1897 and a larger brick church in 1914. The church has undergone several renovations, including a major renovation in 1998-99 that included the painting of icons and the installation of side altars and an icon screen.
The church is currently led by Fr. Paul-Alexander, who was ordained in 1998 and has been serving the parish since 2010. My great grandparents, grandparents and many great aunts and uncles are buried there, the Lucas family. The divine liturgy is beautiful and ancient that goes back 300 years after Christ!

The sign says bingo every friday night and there is no bingo. They need to fix the sign.
