Oakwood Presbyterian Church is part of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and follows the Reformed tradition. We are committed to the inerrant and infallible Word of God as the only rule of faith and practice within the church. What we believe includes the faithful preaching of the Gospel, the right administration of the sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and the biblical application of church discipline for the purity of the church and the restoration of the believer.

Our vision is to become 'oaks of righteousness,' growing roots deep in God's Word, bearing fruit of God-centered holiness and worship, and branching out with Gospel-centered witness and service to State College, Penn State, Central Pennsylvania, and the world. Children and youth are an important part of our church family. We provide many opportunities for children to worship, learn, and grow. Children's Ministry includes nursery services for babies and toddlers, and Children’s Bible Time for 3-year-olds through 1st grade during both services. Sunday School classes are offered for children ages 3 through high school during the school year.

Youth ministry (OYM) serves students in grades 6-12 with Sunday night gatherings and special events like retreats and theme nights. Join us for Oakwood Youth Ministry.
