  New persons ministry is an inspirational setting for reentry offenders. The executive director the programs manager, and the resident assistant are very friendly and willing to assist people. If they don't know something, they'll reach out to someone who does know it. They are also a very forgiving ministry, where they've taken in the same inmates over and over again, giving them second and third chances. The founder was a very kind hearted chaplain who is trying to fill the need of a gap in our society for housing and forgiveness. The volunteers that come in to do bible studies come from a various different backgrounds. They are well versed in their knowledge and are very kind hearted. The church that the residents go to is also a very kind and loving environment. We're an ex offender feels comfortable. They also have a variety of other talents of helping people find treatment when needed and work, with people that have multiple different types of disabilities. Whether mental health issues or physical issues, they're always willing to work with people. Overall, this is probably the best re entry situation for someone coming out of incarceration.

  Was a great new start for me. The path I was on before was a very dark one. The community and staff at NPM are great. I still stay in touch with them today. If you need to find God and recovery today, this would surely be a great place, too start. God bless you all. Jim O'Brien

  I am a resident of NPC in Lancaster. I'm being singled out because I'm an introvert. I've addressed any problems with administration before they knew it was a problem but yet was still given write-ups. I'm even living in a building that would not pass inspection. This organization says it's Christian, but it is not with its policies. Also there was no paperwork that said what expectations were when I arrived. I've asked for it and still haven't received it. Anything I signed in jail would be taken as signed under duress.

  I've been through the lancaster program 3 times, no matter what I was struggling with the guys there were always willing to help; I've butted heads with alot of people there but they never held it against me and still helped me to be the best I can be and achieve the goals I had for myself.

  This is a transitional housing program for persons leaving prison with a Megans Law conviction. Two residential programs in Reading PA and one in Lancaster PA.

  Worst place anyone can go to start there life over and the staff has it against black people dont care about them all they care about is filling up the beds
