A bit out of the way, but a nice hidden little spot. The altar itself is quite beautiful and a great place for a wedding ceremony. And the view out over the valley is incredible! On my most recent visit, someone has added an extension to the area you can walk out on to enhance the view for any couples getting married. Great spot for photos!

The turn off is easy to spot, and miss, and we had to go all the way down the mountain to turn around. 🙃 The road to the altar is gravel, with some steep climbs, some spots have been washed out, and it's wide enough for about a car and a half. That being said, there's a huge parking lot, a Porta potty, an actual altar AND a commanding view of Jacks Mountain. We came late summer, and there was only one person there while we were there. Glad we got to check it put, because it's placed in one of the less populated areas of the state. Thankfully.

A really nice spot with a beautiful view. Definitely a must see. The road going up the mountain is quite narrow, so be careful.

Out standing service for Easter. I am so happy I made the hour long drive. Everything was so nice, people were so friendly. If the Lord gives me another year I will be back.

Have you ever walked into an area and experienced total peace? That's what this mountain offers. Many couples have united in marriage here, and others visit simply to kneel and pray. An atheist once told me he figured out what I meant by spiritually, "it's like music," he said. "It's anything that takes you out of yourself." Visit the alter & leave yourself behind.

Great lookout spot. Roads can be sort of iffy, as they get washed out at times, but its definitely worth the drive.

Pretty cool view of the area. Probably a nice place for photo shoots and I hear people get married there which seems like a nice spot for that.

Great place for a picnic or just some quiet contemplation and prayers. The road to it is fairly steep but worth the effort.
