The history of the Lancaster Moravian Church dates back to 1746, when the congregation first opened its doors on West Orange Street, just blocks from its current location. The church has been served by 56 clergymen over its more than 270-year history. In November 2017, Mandy Mastros became the pastor, bringing a fresh perspective and energy to the congregation.

The church is part of a worldwide denomination with over one million members, primarily in eastern Africa, the Caribbean, and South Africa. The Moravian Church in North America numbers about 60,000 members. The church in Lancaster supports global missions through donations to the Board of World Missions.
