We have attended service here several times over the past few years when visiting our kids in Greensburg. I feel this church has been given a "new lease on life" since the new pastor, Rev. Haley, came to the pulpit. He brought energy, a sense of humor and the gift of sharing God's word in a relatable way. If you are looking for a place to worshp, please give this church a try. I feel they are in a rebuiding phase and have an exciting future. I took my 3 yr old granddaughter to Sunday school there recently & the teacher, Miss Kristen, was so good with the kids. I was mesmerized by her gentle way and her ability to relate to the kids. I am hopeful there will soon be more little ones to attend Miss Kristen's class and learn the Bible stories I remember from my days in Sunday school!

First UMC at Greensburg is a small, intimate, inclusive, personal, welcoming, accepting, and socially conscious, community-minded church. The church has two female pastors - lead and associate - and they both are welcoming (in a genuine way) and personally friendly (vs. politely friendly). This may be a very good church for those who crave the intimacy of a small church over the "mega-"churches ... the simplicity of faith over the glamour of rock bands and drum sets and high-tech AV ... and the priority of serving those who are poor, hungry, and poor-in-spirit - rather than the obsession over politicized issues like whether gay people can serve in church, or who gets to go to which bathroom. The first United Methodist Church is a hidden gem in Westmoreland county, and an oasis of love and unity in a divisive world that has raised walls around churches rather than breaking down barriers. We as a family are so glad to have found this church in our home community.

First UMC is a beautiful older church. The members are very friendly and active in the community. Services follow a traditional format.

Beautiful place in Greensburg looks beautiful inside and outside of the place whoever does the maintenance and up keep needs a raise they take great care of the building
