Hm. A Godly place kicking out a food bank? "Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it. " - perhaps you could've let them pay what they could? "Charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life." - maybe you could have been prepared for the food bank to struggle...it is a food bank. Why not hold a fundraiser to help them? That would benefit the both of you. "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money." And most of all....Love Thy Neighbor.

You're unwilling to compromise for the community you claim to serve?! Finleyville Food Pantry has been doing God's work for 38 YEARS but time to kick that out of your church?! Ok, I won't EVER attend since God seems to have left your building. (Maybe you should also change your status to: "We are no longer a church of faith, hope, and service...")

They are kicking out the food pantry that services people in need because the rent is too high for the food pantry. Eviction notice given. The church is ready to take them to the magistrate. What do they intend to do? Rent the space to Starbucks?

Don't know what the worship service is like since I only go on Thursday nights for community band practice. It's very nice that they let us practice there.
