My teenage son and I went for the first time this weekend. We have no experience with the church but just wanted something positive. within 10 minutes of sitting down they had us making circles and praying out loud with complete strangers. We dont even pray. It was very uncomfortable and my son already has social anxiety. It just doesnt seem like a good fit if you are new to church.

Try to doA BETTER JOB OF TEACHING YOUR ADULT PARISHIONERS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LYING AND STRETCHING THE TRUTH FOR THEIR OWN BENEFIT. THIS AFFECTS FIVE OF YOUR ADULT PARISHIONERS THAT I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH recently.

My husband and I attended COD west york before the pandemic, and then since covid and having 2 babies, we've mainly been watching online. Today we went in person and put our two young children in the nursery and the kids' programs and we had a wonderful experience! We didn't know where to check in but Kelly met us and helped us and took us to each of our kid's classrooms and everyone we met was wonderful. Our kids seemed to have an amazing time as well and I'm just so thankful for this church and their kids programs and I can't wait for our children to keep growing in them. Thank you COD!!!

My husband and I didn't go to church for almost four years, because the idea of finding a church that we could trust with our four kids and one that met our needs as adults seemed like a daunting task. COD has been a place of spiritual growth and rest for us and our children. We can listen to the great sermons and worship with the adults, knowing our kids are safe with teachers and pastors that know them, love them and want them to grow spiritually. If we do have a concern, the staff has always very quickly responded, far above what they would need to do. Church of the Open door has been a blessing to my husband, my kids and me.

Was going to another church for the past 11 years. We made the switch to COD and we could not be happier. My wife, my daughter and I felt as though we had been missing something for the last 11 years. Pastor Bob is soul peircing, captivating, and full of the holy spirit. Very comfortable and welcoming environment as well.

The church is HUGE and very intimidating to work your way around things, at first. Everyone that I've come across so far, has been extremely helpful. All the pastors that I've met are very down to earth and very approachable, that's something that means alot to me. I'm pretty new, but so far the services are interesting and have a comfortable environment. My husband and I were married there on Christmas Eve day, by Pastor Don and everything was perfect. I wouldn't have done anything different. I left the vows and ceremony part up to him and it was absolutely awesome! There are so many groups and events that I'm still trying to catch up on everything!

We loved this church for the AWANA program!!! The volunteers were amazing and always did a great job of making our children feel welcomed and loved. We moved out of state and that is the only reason we are not there anymore. We sure miss the people there!

Amazing Church. My family and I have felt at home here right away. They love Jesus. One way this is seen very clearly is in their disability ministry. Most church’s have small programs that get left over support. Not COD. It’s a great program, well staffed, with lots of adults affected by disabilities that come every week. It’s one small (and important) example is the heart of Jesus at COD.

I was blessed to meet with some members here and worship. It’s a very welcoming congregation and the message was needed. I do not live here or I would most certainly be a member. I pray God’s mercy and goodness abound to this entire church family. Thank you all again!

The message is always helping us understand God's word for our lives. It's just about praise and worship... that simple!
