Details
Formed in 1975 by the merger of St. Paul’s UCC and St. John’s UCC, Church of the Apostles UCC is a vibrant congregation in Lancaster, PA. Our 84-acre campus includes partnerships with local organizations like Homestead Village, Schreiber Pediatric Center, and the Eye Associates of Lancaster. As part of the Penn Central Conference of the United Church of Christ, we believe that God is still speaking and guiding us toward a more just and compassionate world.
We gather for worship every Sunday at 10 AM, with services held in the Bachman Center during our Sanctuary renovations. Our worship style blends contemporary and traditional elements, and we offer faith formation programs for children and youth. We are an Open & Affirming congregation, welcoming LGBTQIA+ individuals in all aspects of church life.
Our core values include Inclusive Refuge, Compassionate Justice, and Environmental Advocacy. Through ministries such as outreach, education, and music, we strive to live out our mission of bearing witness to God’s love in Jesus Christ. We also host community events like the Summer Concert Series and Terrific Tuesdays for children.
We are committed to creating a safe and welcoming space for all, regardless of background or experience. Whether you're new to the area or exploring faith, we invite you to join us and experience the transformative love of God in Christ.
