CLA is welcoming, healthy, growing authentic and fun. Pastors and leaders make themselves available for questions and concerns. Plenty of service opportunities to plug right in and get to know folks! I was raised here, moved out of state 20 years, recently returned. I'm more impressed and "in love" than before!

"Jesus Incorporated" Mega Church. Suitable for those that crave to have ears scratched. Typical for a post millennial audience. Attended their 2025 Christmas extravaganza "Finding Christmas" that had incredible production quality with all in-house actors. Beautiful. But the message of Christmas was barely evident. Most of my Sunday School class was thrilled, yet some of us thought it rather vapid under the covers. If a mega church is your cup of tea, then go and be blessed. But if you crave meat instead of milk, find a Biblical restaurant and not Fast Spiritual Food! 😵‍💫 [And I have friends who are from the area who have attended, and this is not just my opinion alone!)

Review for CLA Church – Divorce Care Group (Central PA) I’m writing this review after further careful reflection. What I experienced in the Divorce Care group at CLA Church was not overt hostility, but a consistent pattern of discomfort, exclusion, and unequal treatment that I now recognize as covert racism. As a non-white woman, I was made to feel unwelcome by group leaders in subtle but repeated ways. I was asked multiple times to pay $20 for materials that I had already paid for earlier in March 2025. This created confusion and distress and left me feeling singled out rather than supported. While each instance could be dismissed as a “mistake,” taken together and within the broader context of Central Pennsylvania this reflects a familiar pattern: non-white participants being questioned more closely, charged redundantly, or treated differently than white participants. This is how covert racism often operates through deniability, administrative inconsistencies, and unequal enforcement rather than explicit statements. Because of this experience, I would caution non-white individuals to carefully consider whether this church will provide the same level of care, advocacy, and responsiveness in times of need. Based on my lived experience, I did not receive equitable support, and I would not personally recommend financial donations from non-white members to an institution where care and accountability did not feel evenly applied. This is especially concerning in a faith-based setting. When churches preach God’s instructions yet fail to examine inequity within their own leadership and practices, spiritual harm can occur. Scripture warns that outward appearance without inward integrity is not true discipleship. From a trauma-informed perspective, this reflects unexamined bias and systemic fragmentation rather than intentional pastoral care. When faith communities do not self-reflect, they risk becoming places of harm instead of refuge. I share this review not to attack, but to bring light where silence would allow harm to continue. Accountability is an act of care. Transparency is necessary for growth.

I've been coming to Christian life for almost fifteen years and I have to say that every Sunday there's a brand new message that helps me through the week..I've been going to CLA for a very long time..but have been to ashamed to join because I wouldn't be able to contribute to the church financially...but I do contribute when I can...but pastor Shane has truly saved my life so many times when I just wanted to give up.... Mary Fedorko...❤️🙏

My husband and I came here for an event this weekend. Note: My review is based on that event and not on a Sunday service. It’s a big church. It was easy to find, although not easy to know where to park. Upon entering, we were greeted by church members, who were friendly, but slightly reserved. The inside of the building is decorated more fancily than a modern church typically is, with giant, outdated pillars, lining the halls. The sanctuary is large, and looks as though it can hold about 1500 people. The seating is stadium, pew style. The event was very well organized and staffed, by church volunteers. We enjoyed the actual event very much, and we would return to this church, for an event in the future.

Great place!!! I love watching their Christmas productions each year. I only discovered this place a few years ago through my church and now I try to make it a point to go there each Christmas if possible.

Christian Life Assembly is such a vibrant church with caring people who genuinely love Jesus. Don’t let the size deter you. CLA is by far the largest church I have ever attended, but it’s the one that has felt the most like home. There are so many opportunities to get involved, and in the process, you will definitely find people who will celebrate with you, encourage you, and pray for you through life’s ups and downs.

This is a great church! Pastor Shane is a wonderful teacher! There is a lot of different groups to be a part of to learn about the Lord. There is something for people of all ages from infants to seniors. The people are friendly, warm and welcoming and the church is spacious and comfortable. They have plays and other entertainment. You just have to visit to experience it for yourself!
