I do not recommend this church. It is very reminiscent of a cult, masquerading as a church. I went here when I was much smaller and regret it often, and it is occasionally a topic of my therapy sessions. They'd rather not look into learning disabilities and instead would rather preach about how it's the parent's fault, and then make the child feel guilty for having a learning disability. (Also, admitted to an 11/12 year old they were being trusted by a parent to give another child their medicine, but weren't doing so.) In the teen's class if it looks like you're doing anything but writing, you'd get yelled at (this includes drawing a square around sometime you thought was important, drawing a line across the paper to signify a break/change, or scribbling out a misspelled word) overall, beyond strict and controlling, their favorite weapon to use is guilt. Only send your children here if you'd like to push them away from God. It took me years to come back to Christ, and even now I still get the occasional flashback and it hurts.

We are visiting for a basketball tournament. ...the people here are super-friendly, and genuine. ...more like a family reunion! And, truly, it is, with Christian brothers and sisters rejoicing in fellowship with our Father through the Spirit!

calvary baptist church is a wonderful church i would like to go back the message that they speak and the verses they read is mind blowin i would return to calvary baptist if i could but i have no way there thank you all for taking the time on reading this please be safe and god bless you all
