My family and I have been going to Rise for 3+ years now. We have met so many amazing people and couples and have received so much support. Rise is like another home for us. We are very grateful to have this community in our corner. We’ve had many friends who don’t attend church normally come and enjoy the service and continue coming. I’d like to weigh in on some of the negative comments. I believe people are gonna find what they’re looking for. And if you’re looking for flaws and faults you’ll probably find them. But we came here at a painful time in our marriage and have had nothing but a great experience. We will soon celebrate 14 years of marriage and we continue to go in the right direction. Thank you to all those that serve at Rise and all of the leadership at Rise for what you do. You are a great part of Gresham. I am born and raised here in thia city and I am honored and proud to be a part of this community at Rise.

I’ve been attending Rise for several years now and am blown away by how God continues to work through this church! They are all about Jesus, building community, and making disciples. The Spirit is evident and people’s lives are being transformed. If you’re looking for a community that prioritizes a genuine and purpose-filled relationship with Jesus, I highly recommend this church!

For over 7 years my wife and I have called Rise City Church home. During that time we’ve been baptized, gone through premarital counseling, and served in multiple ministries including Kids and Men’s ministry. What makes Rise special is the people — they genuinely show the love of Jesus to everyone who walks through the doors. The teaching is grounded in biblical truth and speaks to what people are truly searching for. This is a place where you can encounter the Lord, find your people, and grow deeper in your faith. Today we have the privilege of leading the disability ministry, Embrace, where our heart is to come alongside individuals and families of all abilities so they can experience the love of Christ and learn about Jesus in a welcoming and supportive environment. If you’re looking for a church in Gresham that feels like family and keeps Christ at the center, Rise City Church is that place.

Our family had been without a church for about a year when we decided to try Rise. We came from a disappointing church experience, and were not hopeful we’d find a solid church family. We were proved wrong - we have been at Rise for nearly 5 years now, serve on teams, and joined a weekly small group that’s met for the last 3 years giving us a close community of people we love. The teaching is practical and Biblical. It points us to Jesus. The best part is watching our kids love church and community. They are adamant about going to church and small group every week, and are wildly disappointed if there’s a week we have to miss. We are incredibly thankful Rise is a part of our lives!

I love rise! Rise is teaching Gospel truth and everything about Jesus! The worship is amazing and isnt a worship me centered songs. Its His worship! Rise is an amazing place with a great young adult program! It is so wonderful and non-judgmental! Russell, the main preacher at young adults, has amazing sermons and is always talking before and after sermons. He loves when young adults hang out and plan other things. The Sunday sermons are great too! Everyone is so nice!

Hi! I'm from Salem but was referred to come check out this church. First time going was 10/12/25 at the 10am service. Here are MY opinions and observations :) Pros: Modern music, great pastor and great message, a lot of people! Always love seeing a packed house! Cons: -The auditorium is way too small for the amount of people that are coming in. -The seats are close together so when it comes to praise and worship is a little awkward to lift my hands because I would bump into the person next to me. -Parking is limited, so arrive early!! There's the building parking, street parking, and a block away there is more parking close to Wendy's. -Food is allowed in the auditorium so its super distracting to hear bag wrappers and slurping throughout! I probably would not come again as its far from my home area (Salem) but for those that live in the area, I think this church is a GREAT option and has potential!

Great church. Been going for little over a year now. Great lead pastor that is great speaking from personal experiences and relatable to families with children as well. I like the take on having other younger pastors speak every so often too. The main thing I love is when they walk through the gospel’s and always point towards Jesus love and redemption. If you’ve been struggling with any kind of addiction, this is a safe place to be. Great community and church team. Also great coffee at Pause, connected to building.
