This church screams caution, caution, caution. Their belief in a "common purse" is scary and misguided. They base it on Acts 2 and 4 when the church first started when hundreds of people were flocking to Jerusalem to hear about the newly risen Jesus Christ. People left their belonging to hear this wonderful news. Flooded with new people there was a lack of resources to house and feed the people. It was at that time people came together to offer what they could to help support the people. It is not a direction of the Bible that people should turn their possession over to the church for them to decide how it is to be used. Caution is warranted when a church body asks to turn over your possessions to them. One thing to support a church's mission with your gifts, another if they want it all. Just words of caution so you don't get mislead. Besides what church who believes in Jesus the risen Savior would not be proud to display the resurrection cross on their building.

I love attending Madison Place Community Church. They are a group of believers who consistently serve the ministry I am apart of, allowing our staff members to take weekend trips there for spiritual rest and refreshment. These people love Jesus, and they are seeking to impact the community around them with the gospel of Jesus.

I like the style, worship, short sermon and testimonies. One of the best models for helping addicts that I have seen. They are very controlling however, and tend towards tyranny and legalism. They control all aspects of member's lives; finances, work, education, and marriage. They can be classified easily as a cult. If you have family members there, pray earnestly that they could get free, and provide any support they need to start their lives over. It will usually take years for them to find healing from the spiritual abuse of Gladstone. There is a large support group of survivors.

Have been to MPCC a few times. Absolutely wonderful atmosphere filled with the presence of the Lord. Solid biblical teaching. They definitely have servant attitudes.

Been visiting here for several years. I have have been blessed every time I have visited. They are hospitable and love others. The worship is sincere and the sermons are full of truth and grace.
