  From the first day I walked into Wading River Baptist Church, I felt so welcomed. The congregation is warm and inviting, and it truly feels like a family. Pastor Ivan has such a deep knowledge of the Bible and shares it in a way that is both clear and meaningful. What stands out most is how much time and care he gives to each person—he’s always willing to meet individually and help guide you in growing your understanding of God’s Word. Being part of this church has truly deepened my relationship with Christ, and I’m so grateful to have found a place that not only teaches the truth of Scripture but also makes you feel at home.

  My husband and I wanted to find a church to belong to. We looked online and went to a couple of different churches that were all nice but Wading River Baptist church had a different energy and feel that compelled us to choose this one. Paster Ivan reaches out to everyone, visitors too, and his preaching is so enthusiastic, genuine and connects the Word of God to our lives here on Earth. There are so many different age groups that come together. The congregation is a special group of people, constantly growing, and it is a pleasure to get to know everyone each week. Lots of singing, music and if you want to dive deeper into the Bible, their Sunday morning group is the chance to discuss and ask questions. We enjoy every Sunday. 🥰🙏🙌

  In 2019, I moved to Ridge, NY and explored about 3 local churches. I wasn’t at all motivated by the experiences I had. My son suggested I check out Wading River Baptist Church. I walked in before the service and was warmly greeted by several congregants. Once the service began, I was very much impressed by the sermon and the hymns as well. It’s now 7 years later and under the leadership of our Pastor Ivan Chagas, the service, music and sermons have far exceeded my expectations. He has introduced new opportunities for people of all ages to benefit from them. His sermons are Bible centered but in a way that’s refreshing and warm. His lovely wife, Tulya and his three children set an admirable example for me. I’m sure my fellow Christian brothers and Sisters would agree. We all benefit from the opportunity to share personal prayer requests and we are always willing to help a congregant in need. The elders and deacons are kind, helpful and friendly. The music provided by our accomplished pianist and organist is incredibly performed. I can’t say enough except that I thank GOD for this church and ministry. It has enhanced my life. I look forward to Sunday’s Worship Service and the fellowship with “my Church Family”

  WRBC is a true Bibical house of worship, prayer and place of learning about what it means to be a follower of Christ. Pastor Ivan shepherds the people under his care with, masterful expository preaching and teaching of biblical theology. He is loving, humble and authentic in his care for each and every person who comes through the doors. He and his beautiful family have created a safe, warm and united Christian family. It is a true blessing to be apart of this exemplary Christian Church.

  Excellent Christ centered church. God fearing and loving. The BIBLE is preached every Sunday without exception. You will feel welcomed and cared for from the minute you arrive . This church is a true beacon of hope and Christian growth for all.

  WRBC is an oasis of truth for this area of Long Island. The Bible is taught verse by verse which is hard to find out here and exactly what we were looking for. Sunday morning Bible Study is very informative and has covered topics such as the History of the Reformation, The 5 Solas, and T.U.L.I.P. Our children love going to Sunday School and are being taught well. From Day 1 my family and I felt very welcomed. The love, in truth, is wonderfully displayed by all. Pastor Ivan has a genuine desire for the congregation and God never fails to speak to me through the preaching of His word.
