Going to church doesn't make you any better than those who don't go to church. You go to church simply because you want to. My Wife and I share our love for Green Valley Baptist Church in Henderson, Nevada. Not only do we cherish the Lead Pastor' Calvin Whittman's sermon every Sunday, but also the love and friendship you get from members and attendees. Pastor Jacob and his band and singers are the best! The Church Staff work so hard to bring it all together. THANK JESUS FOR THIS CHURCH.

I had a very disappointing experience at this church's summer camp. During camp, I witnessed what I believed to be nonconsensual inappropriate sexual contact when I saw one camper touch another camper's genitals. I immediately reported what I had seen to a youth leader because I felt it was serious. Later, a meeting was held with the people involved and church leaders. From my perspective, the situation was not handled appropriately. I felt the discussion was not private enough, and I left believing that my concerns were not taken seriously. Both the abused camper and I told the same story, but after talking for some time, I believed the person who was touched wrongly got embarrassed and said he probably touched me by accident, the same thing that horrible person said. After that, I was also told that I could be sent home if I continued "looking for bad" in the other camper, even though I believed I was simply reporting what I had witnessed. Everyone present was also instructed not to discuss the incident with others because the case was "Closed". Because of this experience, I lost confidence in how the church handled a report involving possible inappropriate conduct between minors. I expected the situation to be taken seriously and handled with greater care. I also personally witnessed behavior by the same camper toward other girls that I considered inappropriate, which added to my concerns.

Awesome music and very energetic guy on the stage. Parking was somewhat limited. Seats in the auditorium are comfortable and ample but bring your own water as there are no servers. Good vibes.

Pastor Calvin is an amazing Pastor! He is not afraid to call out sin for sin. Hes not a yes man or with clicky groups. Also do atuesday Night women's Bible study on.

This is the first church we have experienced true fellowship and heard biblical teaching in one place. After trying many churches, this is the only one we have ever wanted to be included in their membership. These people are truly walking the walk and giving us hope.

GVBC is very Deserving of 5 Stars! I felt very welcomed beginning with Greetings I received as I entered the church. A very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Most wonderful Sr. Pastor that is very very nice and welcomed us in. Just a great overall experience. Strongly recommend attending if you are looking for a church home or maybe just a visit.

I go to this church for BSF meeting and lectures. This is one of BSFs' hosting church. It is so pretty inside, they do have Christian academics available, plus Awana for the kids.
