Details

Genoa Community Church is a non-denominational congregation that celebrates the many facets of human spirituality. We endeavor to learn about God and His creation and express our gratitude for the many blessings that He has bestowed upon us. Our church is a place of inner stillness where we pray, sing, meditate, and worship God, and a place of inner beauty where we recognize the beauty in others, receive instruction, and go with thanksgiving.

The church offers Sunday morning services from 10:00-11:00 a.m., though in practice, services often start around 10:05 due to visiting and fellowship. A time of fellowship follows each service, with the church providing coffee and visitors encouraged to bring some goodies.

Our charitable giving is aimed primarily at providing help for local organizations. We support Carson City FISH, which provides food, clothing, shelter, and medical aid to the homeless and hungry, and the Douglas County Food Closet, which provides food to qualifying residents in the area. We also support the Jacks Valley Elementary School Backpack Program, the Douglas Country Sheriff's Explorer Program, Between Horses and Humans, and Kids and Horses.

The church building is owned, operated, and maintained by the Town of Genoa. The Town is the contact point for all weddings, memorial services, and other events involving the church building other than the Sunday morning church service.
