I love Morning Star Presbyterian Church. If you are looking for a church home, this is it! The people are warm and friendly and incredibly welcoming. Everyone is accepted for who they are. Come as you are; the atmosphere is casual. Our pastor, Rev. Dr. Myrlene Hamilton Hess, lives what she preaches- she is a person of great integrity and a humble servant of God. Her sermons are wonderful, down to earth, and applicable to our daily lives. Morning Star is a serving church, reaching out with a very active food pantry and as a volunteer village, a place where volunteers from all over the country stay while they work on rebuilding homes damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. For me, this is the place where I have the opportunity to live out the love of God in Jesus Christ. I have been comforted through the loss of my husband and my daughter and have been loved through my grief. I have been given the opportunity to minister as a Care Pastor and Bible Study leader. Wherever you are in life, there is something here at Morning Star for you!

Morning Star Presbyterian Church is a very warm, friendly and inviting church. From the moment you walk through the front door you feel at home. Rev. Dr. Myrlene Hamilton Hess is an awesome pastor. Her sermons are always relevant to our lives today. They always communicate the message that God is very much alive today and loves us unconditionally. Morning Star Church has a small congregation but it is full of warmth. It's committed to reaching out into the community. It has a very successful weekly Food Pantry open on Thursdays. The church has been very active since May 2013 in helping restore the Jersey Shore after Super Storm Sandy. Morning Star houses up to 30 volunteer workers per week who come from across the United States to provide hope to homeowners and to help rebuild their homes. It also hosts AA meetings three days a week.

If you want a church that is loving, and warm then this is the church for you. The pastor gives the best sermons that I've ever heard, even more so they speak directly to you through the Grace of God. Learn what it means to be a Christian here with no pressure. Learn about the talents that God has given you. This is a meaningful and fun place to grow together as a church family. This church hosts mission teams throughout the USA that come to live in this church for a week. The mission teams volunteer their labor to victims of Super Storm Sandy. The church has hosted teams as far away as California! There is also a well run food pantry that is open every Thursday from noon to 3 pm. Need help, need love, need warmth, need God, then come and visit. You'll be glad you did!

We have been blessed so much since we started attending service here. If you wanna experience The Lords Presence in a real supernatural and tangible way and Learn how to not just be church goers but be disciples of Jesus and to be the Church outside the building come visit us.

The people here are open and generous. Non-judgmental and supportive. They run a large food bank that offers groceries to anyone in need. There are AA meetings here a few times a week. They continue to volunteer in super storm sandy relief and rebuilding efforts. They are a welcoming, joyful, and no pressure church teaching directly from the Bible. I recommend everyone visit at least one time.

Morning Star is a warm, non-judgmental, and non-threatening place for anyone to experience the love of God, and to learn more about how they can grow in their faith, and in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Most churches can seem intimidating when you first walk through the doors. Not so here. The people are genuine and friendly, and the pastor delivers the best messages that are both relevant and relatable...with just enough well-timed humor sprinkled throughout to make it all complete!

Nice building and plenty of parking. Friendly welcoming people, who are very happy to see everyone who comes to the service. Message was delivered with passion and knowledge. Treat after service on the way to the car was a wonderful surprise.
