I don't know when this church improved but when I was growing up it was extremely depressing. The people there were not welcoming at all since my family was not in this community for generations. I remember crying after mass. I remember Fr Capistran who had this monotone voice that put me to sleep. We eventually switched parishes in 1991 when I was a sophomore in high school. The other church was way more uplifting and assured us that God loves us and isn't always angry like Holy Assumption church taught me. Guilt and shame was the message this parish taught me. I have depression and this church never helped me. I do not miss this church at all.

This church is a hot mess. The music is all over the place, the pastor's sermons drag on pointlessly, most of the parishioners do not know the first thing about proper mass etiquette, and the masses consistently run longer than 60 minutes when they should realistically be no more than 45 for the modern world.

Special mass last weekend celebrating St Patrick...beautiful experience. Bagpipes excellent. This parish still has a warm and family feel...very accepting. ❤️

Always a lovely visit they help people in need by giving food ,clothing,and info where you can get additional help every Tuesday from 2pm to 3pm God bless
