  A beautiful parish with many kind parishioners, we are so blessed to have this Oratory and it's rector Canon Altiere. I would highly recommend KC Catholics attend the Holy Mass in the Traditional form HERE. Very edifying and beautiful! Definitely 10/10!

  Today was my first time to attend Mass at the Oratory. WOW. Beautiful music sung well; not blasting or dirge-like. So reverent and everything done with so much love. The vibe was NOT “angry-Trad” at all! Normal families lots of children but still so quiet and beautiful. I can’t remember being at a more beautiful and inspiring HOLY Mass! Thank you ICKSP and Bishop of KC St Joseph!

  Absolutely amazing for Catholics to be connected and participating in the heritage and tradition of their faith. The liturgy provides a profound representation of what is taking place in the holy sacrifice of the Mass in the spiritual world made present for our senses in the physical world.   Canon Todd is a amazing Pastor and this Church has an amazing community. The Mass is beautiful as all Masses are in the Extraordinary form. The Choir is also amazing. This Church is the closest you can get to feeling like your in Heaven while still being in this evil world. If you are a Catholic looking for a Church to attend or you are just in town on the weekend and want to attend a Sunday Mass then please visit Old Saint Patricks. It is also a very historic church that was built in 1875 and is the oldest Catholic Church in Kansas City. It was renovated in 2007 to fit the Traditional Latin Mass and resembles closely what it looked like over 100 years ago. God Bless You.

  Today I was visiting Kansa City, Kansas and masstimes.org told me that at 10:15am there was mass in this parish. But because it was the first time, he was unaware of the dress codes in that parish. But an usher very kindly let me and my family in. But then a lady approached me and told me that we could not receive our Lord Jesus Christ in the Eucharist because of our clothing, but if we wanted we could stay. That confused me because if I am not worthy to receive him by clothing I was not worthy to be in the temple either. I apologize to the parish community if we shocked you by our dress at Mass today, it was never our intention. And for masstimes.org users who are traveling outside of their State or Diocese, always check the websites of the parishes in those States or Dioceses that they visit. Or go to the Diocesan Parishes that will receive us even if it is out of mercy.

  Parish has it's extremist nut-case types peppered in with the rest. Saint Patrick's is not a typical parish in that it's a commuter parish; parishioners who attend can rarely claim to be down-town residents. People commute here, though, because one can rest assured that the liturgy will consistently be offered in adherence to the rubrics, and the rubrics (with episcopal permission) of 1962/55, always including the priest facing the same direction for the rite as the congregation. A prayerful offering of the mass at a parish in the heart of the city.

  Not diverse. 15th Century Catholic mass where the prisest's back is facing the lay people. Priests speaks so low during mass, doesn't even seem like he's talking; Can only hear him during homily. I don't even know what was going on during communion it seemed pretty dreadful. The Congregation wasn't inviting nor hostile; Not greetful, or interested in New visitors.

  There's not as many side altars or statues to pray in front of as of some other old churches but the liturgy celebrated here is celebrated to perfection and The institute has made Sterling efforts to reintroduce Catholics to traditions otherwise forgotten or passed over like bringing herbs and flowers to be blessed on assumption or candles on Candelmas ... I think people benefit from all that but I wish somehow parishioners could be drawn from the neighborhood and the high-rises because it's a pity that no one who goes to that church as far as I know lives near it whereas I imagine it was built to serve the people of the area not people commuting
