Originally housed in downtown Salem, the Faith Mission was closed due to lack of support but was re-established in 1995 at a building that previously housed Abundant Life Church outside of Salem. After a fire in December 1997, the Faith Mission was rebuilt on the church grounds in 1998.

The Faith Mission is run entirely by volunteers and is open from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
