Charity Church is a welcoming family and treats all as an equal. We all are a part of Jesus and have a mission to walk in his ways by God and Pastor Paul shows passion in what he teaches us.

This was my first visit in quite some time. I live in Martinsville and I drove up since a friend of mine suggested it. I was rather disappointed. I actually had to leave during the very first song of worship. The music was very loud, drums were loud, and there was so much bass where I thought my heart was going to get out of my chest. The told the woman at the door that the music was very loud for my taste, and she suggested ear plugs! Worship is made to worship God, and not to impress Man! God isn't deaf! I took this as a sign that it was HIS way of kicking me out for my own good. Update: I talked to someone from the church on Monday (October 1st) and she made notes what happened although I don't really think that she cared all that much. Comes to show you that churches are mostly appealing to young folks than anything else, and I honestly don't think anyone could be enjoying this. Someone has to complain about it. It can cause health problems.

I had searched for a church to call home for many years. It wasn’t until I started attending Charity that I felt I was finally home. Through the loss of my son, the church came together to bring me dinner’s every night. I felt so loved during such a time of need. Charity is a come a you are church. Despite your background or what you’re wearing, you are welcome. Are you depressed, anxious, addicted, or dealing with loss and grief? Come to Charity and watch Jesus break the chains right off of you.

I may live in Knoxville, TN but this church will always have a special place in my heart. Great people and always welcoming. We always go when we are visiting family in the area. My brother and his In-laws all attend the church. I have even drove all the way from Knoxville, TN to do a trip with the men's group. I even once helped them on a serve the community day by mowing grass, painting fences, and cleaning over grown brush out of neighbor's yards for them. Was actually a really great day. If you live in the area I suggest making this church your home church!

Songs are wonderful, but I enjoy the word of God. Pastor Paul is a wonderful preacher, and i feel he truly believes and lives what he preaches. There's a great spirit in this church and the Wednesday classes are great as well. Lots of fun for the kids and just all over a great place to worship.
