We are fairly new to this church. This is a friendly, welcoming congregation, with a beautiful place for worship, and Rev. Sowell's weekly message is always thought-provoking, often timely, and enlivening. We look forward to her message each week. My spouse and I leave every Sunday feeling reinvigorated, empowered to live better, and better disposed to be kinder, better people. Whether you are looking for faith, wisdom, community, activities, or friendship, I recommend giving this church a chance. Maybe it will steal your heart like it did ours.

This church has renewed my faith in people and places of faith. They truly walk the walk of welcoming ALL people, and serving the community. The love, peace, joy and hope, that I feel each time I’m there, or watch a service online, are unmatched in my 40+ years of church-going.

St John Evangelical United Church of Christ has been my church home for more than 40 years. I love the commitment to community service and our welcome to all, regardless of where one is in life's journey. Communion is open to all and we strive to honor our differences rather than expect everyone to fit someone's preconceptions. If you are seeking a church home, please visit - and let us know it is your first time with us so we can welcome you and answer your questions.
