This month began with unexpected challenges, so I decided to visit the New Creation Fellowship food pantry, which I found listed on the STL Area Food Bank website. The listing did not mention any residency requirements, nor did it specify that documentation was needed. I also attempted to call the number provided, but it went straight to voicemail. I drove approximately 20 minutes to the location with my baby and toddler and waited in line for an hour. When I reached the desk, I was greeted—not with kindness—but with “Ma’am, I need you to put your phone down,” without any hello or acknowledgment. I handed over my ID, and the staff member, Debbie, immediately asked for proof of residency. I explained that I hadn’t brought anything because the website didn’t mention it. I wouldn’t have made the trip or waited so long with my children if I had known. Debbie repeatedly stated, “It says that on all the websites,” showing no compassion or willingness to help. Her tone and demeanor were dismissive and unkind. This was the most disheartening experience I’ve ever had at a food pantry, and I plan to report it to the USDA.

This is a awesome church. The pastor is a true man of God, he preaches in spirit and in truth. The people there are kind and loving. If you are looking for a home church, please come check it out.

Love this church and all the people that help with the food pantry they are very kind they also love helping people that need it they are very generous with giving so you are greately appreciated thank you so very much for being kind and generous with others i thank GOD for all of you
