  My aunt is a member of this church and they host the best community activities. We just attended the Halloween Trunk n Treat event. It had a bouncy house, basketball game, karaoke, and food. What I love about this type of Halloween activity is that it's safe and fun. My boys always enjoy themselves.

  The very warm and welcoming congregation has gotten smaller since the Covid-19 pandemic. Pastor Joya and her husband and son are wonderful people. Come and visit for the experience; stay and become a member because it feels like coming home. There is a potluck fellowship dinner the first Wednesday evening of each month at 6:00 pm. Visit the website for more information about worship and Sunday school times. Bring your family. We also have a safe sanctuary policy in place for the safety of all of our children. We will have VBS in June starting the week of the 12th. Our diverse congregation is welcoming to everyone, and we'd love to have you!

  Every weekend I pick up my step son and bring him to his father who waits at the church. He is a spiritual man who believes in God. Today, Sunday September 23rd 2018 he was dressed in shorts and a t-shirt waiting for the quick 5 minute ride as I pick up his son off of Hicks road and bring him back to the church and pick him up. While I was gone he got kicked off the church property for standing quietly in the parking lot due to his more poor casual dress clothes after he had a long night. He has never had a problem with us getting his son and picking him up at the church. Churches should preach love and support, especially for children. This church was judgmental and their treatment of him was severely a miscarriage of justice and discriminatory.

  I was not able to attend worship last Sunday as we were in south Georgia for the Carter reunion. I listened to the sermon provided on the website and appreciate our technology team who makes this possible! I also appreciated the main truths of the sermon that we need to recognize and listen to the voice of Jesus, seek to follow in the footsteps of Jesus by living a life for others and living a life of gratitude for what Jesus has done for us! Amen!

  My daughter began preschool here in September 2016. She was scheduled to go two days a week. The first week she came home congested (normal for a kid seeing as how she's being exposed to other children.) I am a stay at home parent. She rarely went anywhere but the grocery store and to play with a cousin. The second week we had her stay home one day because of the congestion and runny nose. We sent her back to school assuming she was going to be doing alright. She was. She was behaving and there were no issues regarding anything. The staff was very kind at this point. We started to notice that she was scratching her head a lot. Upon further investigation we noticed that she had contracted lice. I treated her hair twice over the weekend with an over the counter and sent her back to school on that Monday assuming that the lice were dead. I called the school on Friday morning and left a message explaining my child had contracted lice. I never received any type of call back or communication until Monday. I received a phone call that Monday from a teacher saying she needed to be pulled out of school because she had lice. We were told she could not return unless the bugs were completely dead. When I got to the school to pick her up no one could answer any of my questions and the staff seemed very irritated with my daughter. Like it was her fault. The other kids were all eating lunch and my child was sitting by herself next to a doorway. Sad. I felt really sorry for her. I may be biased but she was upset. I asked the teacher if any other kid had lice and was given a short answer with a nasty look. No one could be bothered with me. I took her to the doctors office and got a prescription and treated her hair. I still had not heard anything back from the director of the program and it had been since Friday morning. I never got a call back until the next day. I requested that they give me my deposit and tuition for the month. My child barely went to school 3 days and contracted lice on their watch. I was finally informed that I could get my tuition for the month but the deposit was non refundable. To me that is a total crock. It cost me $150 to take my kid to a doctor and pay for a prescription. That is a months tuition. I basically paid for my child to get lice. They were also very adamant that it was my child who brought this to the school. It is an embarrassing subject to tackle because we assume lice are only with dirty people. My daughter had a bath every morning before school. Lice are attracted to cleanliness. I was made to feel embarrassed and like my family wasn't clean. I left countless voicemails and visited twice in two weeks to get my tuition back. They finally mailed it. It seems that the root of the problem was the church preschools fault and it was a lot easier to pass the buck/ignore a parents concerns. I highly recommend checking out other preschool programs before this one of you are an alternative looking parent. I get the feeling that because we are artists we were frowned upon from the beginning. I will never recommend nor speak praises on this program.
