  Very disappointing. We were in the process of looking for a new church home closer to where we live. We'd attended WCPC multiple times over the past 30 years so were familiar with it. I had hoped that after they had left the Presbyterian Church USA that they would return to being more biblical rather than worldly. Unfortunately this isn't the case. Durning a recent service the associate pastor started the service by expressing her political views, which were predictably based only on what the media told her to believe. The lead pastor followed suit expressing views likewise based on the popular press rather than biblical truths, let alone any serious attempt to even the learn actual facts. They should remember that Jesus himself did not advocate 'revolution' against the ruling Romans, violent protest, or in fact any opposition to the occupying Romans. In fact one reason the Jews of the time rejected him was his refusal to engage in opposition to Roman rule. Many people want to church to reinforce their worldly views at chuch. The simple fact is that much of what modern culture exhalts is in conflict with God's teachings. Churches are there to guide you on God's unchanging, unerring, intended path; not to support or follow the world's ever shifting beliefs. The only reason I don't give them zero is that they have nice facilities and the people attending are nice.

  The spirit is definitely felt here. For those that want to increase their faith in Jesus should definitely give this church a visit. Also a great school to send your little ones.

  I honestly do not know what to make of our current churches, who calibrate their theology and level of immersion into the world, leaving us to shop around for the perfect permutation. We try one on and move on when things don't fit just right. With so many Presbyterian denominations, it seems we will never run out of choices. I do miss the mainline PC(USA) denomination and what it represented in years past. What a magnificent institution it was, and what a deep history it carried. We were told that the Presbyterian Church was a large tent when sinfulness came and was given a place at the table. Some stayed. Conservative congregations made the difficult decision to leave. This church left. To what end, however? I read the comments from the review written 3 months ago and many of the points resonate. A heavy cost was paid to leave the denomination. PC(USA) does not make it easy for congregations who want to leave the denomination but also want to worship in the same building as they always have. What was the point of schism and the financial sacrifice of the faithful, only to see this church on a parallel path to the trajectory of the PC(USA)? I do wonder if God's will is in this fragmentation and with our local churches mirroring the city. Was the judgment upon Babel also its blessing? Tim Keller's notion of our call to the city was an appealing one, especially among the young and accomplished. I thought it should have had an equal counterbalance of a call to the wilderness. Do we go into the city to conquer and to serve, or do we go to there to seek the comfort offered within its walls and to fill up our stores of resources and memories of good times? Life in Walnut Creek stirs us to do the latter. We like a nice sunny afternoon to walk through Nordstrom's and have a nice lunch at an outside table, don't we? As much as we can be critical of Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church, do other churches do better? The cynic in me says all churches are flawed, and it is simply the age we live in. These institutions may not carry the full and fearsome voice of the Word, but they serve the purpose of carrying the embers forward. I think of the centuries between books of the Bible, and even in the books themselves, where He seems silent but where His plan is clearly present. Maybe we, in this present time, need to just keep things as steady as we can, and Presbyterians of another age, with lamps full of oil, will do the work we could not. On some Sundays, it does look like some manner of elaborate cosplay. Of the most banal type, in short sleeves and khakis, with rapturous descriptions of bourbon and Broadway musicals at the pulpit. (To be fair, the pulpit may be in the storage room now.) I offer the critique of one atheist: Grown men and women should not carry on having imaginary friends. Who among us will leave the make-believe of our creation and step forward with fear and trembling? Who?

  Trinity Center is the resource center, breakfast, lunch, shower, Laundry, counseling, job board, computer usage, clothing spot, the mobile clinic, & more. C.O.R.E. is in the building, putting homeless folks into temporary and or permanent housing. Plus the snack bags, pet food, Awesome field staff. ✌🏾

  I couldn't be happier with the preschool here. My daughter loves going and the teachers are top notch and passionate about teaching and caring for the kids. The classrooms are modern, clean, and well supplied. I haven't yet attended a church service here but definitely look forward to it in the near future!

  Awesome church! The place is huge.You can wear casual or dress attire. People are friendly and inviting.The Sunday service is 60% music/song/prayer based with a different great band every week. Very entertaining and yet peaceful. Sometimes they show a inspiring documentary on the big screens and other times they talk about a great lesson from the book. Pastors Morgan and Paul are friendly and eager to meet new people. Go introduce your self and first time visitors get free cookies at the end of the service. After the service meet up in the gym for refreshments and get to know everyone. You'll love it!

  Beautiful church, easy parking and amazing staff and Pastor. The conference room made a very nice setting for the "after service activties", that I have attended at the Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church.
