The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Tuolumne County (UUFTC) is a welcoming spiritual community serving the foothills of California. We are a liberal religious congregation that embraces diversity and encourages free and responsible spiritual exploration. Our meetings are held in Sonora and Douglas Flat, with services on the first and third Sundays at 10 a.m. in Sonora and the second and fourth Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in Douglas Flat about-us-2.
UUFTC is part of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA), drawing on its resources and principles. We have no dogma or creed, and our faith is guided by shared values and a commitment to social justice. Our mission includes providing a sanctuary for individual beliefs, encouraging spiritual growth, and promoting peace and justice about-us-2.
We welcome all individuals regardless of their spiritual journey. Our services include a welcome, lighting of the flaming chalice, sharing of joys and sorrows, readings, music, and a talk by a member or guest speaker. After the service, we often have a potluck on the third Sunday of the month visitors.
Our facilities include a Fellowship House in Sonora and the historic Old Schoolhouse in Douglas Flat. We are committed to accessibility and encourage participation from all members of the community.
