Careful with joining groups at this church. They say they are For Visalia but the group I experienced was For their own selfish resasons, kind of like how Joey from Friends said people do good deeds to make themselves feel better yeah like that. I know humans are not perfect and you run to God but if you are the leader of a group and someone reaches out for prayer it is not ok to tell someone in a nice way you are going through a lot and you need therapy we don't know how to handle this and we have our own lives going on. No one forced you to be a group leader. Maybe think about being a group leader before you take on the role. Basically they are like dutchbros employees who ask how your day is. You know they don't actually care it is just part of the job description. It is ok to be a Christian and be real about your feelings with people. You don't have to please anyone or pretend that you care and form bonds with people and waste their time. Just saying. I am sure there are great groups out there and real church people who care but I was just hurt thats all. I do forgive and want to move on it is just hard. Side not I also did feel a lack of spirit as well. They say their messages are like Ted talks and I can see that. One good thing about this church is their peer couseling that they offer. One good resource that this church offers.

The service is warm and welcoming. Praise team is great, church is recorded and aired on YouTube and their website is great. They have 3 church services if you can't make it to the earlier times.

If you're unsure what church to try out in Visalia this one is easy going and fun to attend. You can dress casual, there's always a great message and chill vibes. You immediately feel comfortable and welcomed attending a service here.

When we visited Neighborhood Church 2 years ago, we instantly felt that this was a good place. They were very welcoming and the sermons foster love for all people. So far each sermon has taught and has encouraged us to grow to love. I am so glad we came to visit! 🤗 …

Not a fan of contemporary mega churches. The time I did attend, it was the 1st day of a building campaign. I really do not want any part of a church bldg campaign. That said, the people were super nice! It was an excited feel! My BF is a member, so, I'll probably return.

I only leave this rating because there's a huge lack of the spirit here. Everytime we went it was rare to hear verses from the bible. We constantly got Ted talks about other philosophers more then we heard the word of God. Then durring the super bowl they played im still standing by Elton john which was just odd in general and not because Elton is apart of the LGBT community but because there are tons of inspirational songs that came from Christian bands from the early 2000's that non Christians even like which could have been very welcoming for first time people. Everyone there was nice but being kind is nothing when you arent preaching the word of God. Also purgatory was talked about here and it was just really off putting. I hope things change in the future and if the church continues on I hope for a more spirit led sermons rather then fun facts. Love you guys but please really think about what you're doing here for people.

I love Neighborhood and can’t speak highly enough of the culture, the staff and volunteers. The church is so welcoming and accepting of everyone from all walks of life— believers, non-believers, and everything in between. They have created a diverse and inclusive environment, where you can learn about Jesus. The worship team is awesome and Forrest is an exceptional pastor with a wealth of intriguing knowledge. He and his pastoral staff that makes showing up to church engaging and interesting— I actually look forward to church every Sunday! They also live stream their services which make “attending” church convenient when you can’t be there in person. (But attending in-person is unparalleled.) One of the things I love most about Neighborhood is their community outreach and their commitment to helping their neighbors in various ways. If you’re looking for a church in the Visalia area, I definitely suggest checking out Neighborhood!

Such a comfortable atmosphere! My husband and I have tried various churches over the years, but still felt like we hadn't quite got it right-yet! What kept me coming back for more was the music; I was very pleased to find up-to-date Christian music being such a part of Sunday service at church. Singing familiar songs during worship helped me to feel at ease right away, and allowed me to be comfortable enough to listen to the pastor's message with an open, happy heart! That was why I kept coming back--I will STAY because NC is perfect for our whole family. After their first visit, our children asked US if they could start coming every Sunday. I would encourage everyone to visit NC, and learn about all the opportunities for Christian fellowship and jump in with both feet!

Exciting place to worship, extremely warm and hospitable feel from the moment you step out of your vehicle. I took my parents and two relatives last Sunday and it was beautifully presented by Forest, the pastor there. The neighborhood church is wonderful for people of all ages and everyone is welcome.
