Never experienced a church like this before. I'm blown away! I'm currently in a phase of life where I am semi-nomadic, and spending part of my year here in Meadow Vista with friends. When I'm in a town on a Sunday, I try to attend a church by searching "bible based church" on google maps. This church popped up, I checked it out and haven't gone anywhere else I have been so impressed. I attended this church a few times in May of this year and then left the area for the summer and rejoined for the last few months. Firstly, I can't stand alone after church service for more than a minute without someone coming up and saying hello to me, often chatting with me sincerely and/or introducing me to others. I brought my friends with me a few times and I saw this same behavior with the men towards my friends husband. So welcoming! The pastor also said hello to me right away my first day as I sat behind him and his wife (who is also just a truly lovely lady). Over time in the front row, we developed a friendly banter. (You people sitting into the back are missing out!!) He's an awesome and studied man of God, but I think he also has kind of a goofy humor to him which is super fun. I love that the pastor and the congregation keep to the scriptures as much as possible, giving us only cultural context and deeper meaning into the translations of the words rather than their personal opinions. Along with the Sunday services, I attended the women's bible study group, some of the home fellowship meals, and even made it to a women's lunch after church one day. I have also made it to a couple of their after church lunches. They have many different things going on for people of all ages, which is pretty impressive in such a small community. At every place and in every situation I found the people to be truly living their lives the way you hope to see of Christians. They were loving and supportive, caring brothers and sisters in Christ. To be quite honest, this church congregation is one of the reasons that kept me in this area a lot longer than I intended. I love the balance in this church of being loving and supportive, but also honest with the harder and challenging things, both in the Bible and with what can happen in a church body. It truly is an incredible and inspiring church and I feel so blessed that I found it and have been able to form such awesome connections and to have my faith supported, and deepened while I have been here. I really recommend attending this church, and especially getting involved to get to know people better and go deeper in your faith and relationship with Christ. I even had a healing experience in one of the services... my frozen shoulder released. I went from 30% range of motion to 75%! Don't just attend once. Go for at least a few weeks or ideally, months. Talk to people, go to the lunch, get involved.

I truly enjoy the scripture based sermons that are revelant to today's world of standing for Christ among adversity and disbelief. We are the light of the world. We are a loving congregation of all ages and families. Our music programs are uplifting. And now we have the fine arts program for children and adults. Come visit any time.

Bible based teaching. Not a lecture/dogma/one persons idea of what The Word tells us, rather a true study of God's Word. Finally, a fellowship of believers who live their faith.

We take our kids for their mid week kids program. We all love it but haven't gone to a weekend service yet.
