  The people were welcoming and kind, and I appreciate their hospitality. For me, though, the service felt more focused on creating an emotional experience than on deeply teaching God's Word. It reminded me of the biblical contrast between spiritual "milk" and "solid food" (Hebrews 5).

  I finally found a church I connect with and it helps that my 5 and 3 year old love going as well. I was watching online far too long because I couldn’t find a church in the east bay that I was connected too, but City Life, and Pastors Jonny and Maria changed that. I really look forward to Sundays, and so do my kids! The new location is great, worship team is awesome and every service leaves me feeling fulfilled!

  City Life Church has been my home church for the past 4 years! So excited that the church is now growing into a new campus at East Bay! I absolutely love the community at East Bay, lots of families, lots of sunshine ☀️ and always look forward to going to EB on Sundays with my husband. Since we live in SF, we take the commute as a nice trip to the East Bay. ❤️ We are always greeted with smiles and have gotten to know Pastors Jony and Maria and their incredible selfless hearts for the church and people!

  Of course, this is my first time attending church in the United States. I come from Ethiopia. I am a pastor in my country. I was born and raised in the church. My father and mother are church founders. I am the husband of one woman and have two daughters. I really enjoyed the service on Sunday. It was Holy Communion and there was a very kind and spiritual sister who shared with us. I am very blessed by the pastor who taught me the word of God. He taught me the truth, the way, and the life in a way I have never heard before. Thank you. I am very blessed in worship Tim. Everyone says Jesus. Jesus, I love Jesus. A tall, handsome man with glasses. He is very charming and calm. He will probably be the main pastor of the church. I like him very much. My heart is truly touched. Dear [Pastor/Church Leadership Team], I would like to kindly share a few suggestions that I believe could help strengthen our fellowship and worship experience: I would prefer that the Bible used during services be the physical book rather than a phone or digital version. It would be wonderful if the entire worship team could sit among the congregation and follow the sermon after the worship segment. When a guest visits, it would be helpful to have a welcoming or introductory team to guide them to the tea area and make sure they feel cared for and included.   I’ve been here twice. It’s really a nice service. Everyone seems great. I’m new but today’s speaker was heartfelt and kind. He seemed like a mighty man of God which I really appreciated. Last time I went the pastor & his wife delivered a message simultaneously which was different. He gave a lot of information about himself. It helped me to be able to describe him to my husband. Some churches these days rely on videos for service. I’m so glad these guys are live, in person and very genuine.

  I truly love the church. I've been attending City Life Church since last year, and in May I had the joy of being baptized. I feel deeply welcomed and grateful to be part of this church family. It brings me so much joy to serve in the house of the Lord, and it’s clear that others who serve feel the same happiness.   It has been many years since I attended church for personal reasons. A friend invited me here and honestly my life changed for the better. Meeting the people here and being in this church environment has been so healing! I truly appreciate feeling welcomed. I also feel the presence of God. I will say if you are an introvert this is definitely the church for you. They do not put new people on blast and truly give you the space to become comfortable before joining! I don’t feel pressured at this church. If you keep going there will be some fun surprises after service occasionally as well!

  During a drive, my 6-year-old said, “Mommy, I just don’t know why I love East Bay Church so much. I just love everything, even the building!” That moment blessed me deeply because it perfectly sums up how we feel about this church. It’s hard to put into words the level of anointing, love, and God’s presence that flows from this place. East Bay has truly been a blessing to our family!
