A wonderful priest, father Philip, and a wonderful матушка make the atmosphere of this parish warm and home-like.

This Orthodox Christian parish is part of the worldwide Orthodox Church and is under the supervision of Metropolitan Tikhon of Washington, DC and Archbishop Benjamin of San Francisco of the local Orthodox Church in America. Services are conducted in Church Slavonic and English. The priest, Fr. Philip Halliwell, is a warm pastor and an experienced spiritual father.

An incredible temple of worship and an altogether transporting divine liturgy (i.e., Mass) experience. Parishoners stand throughout, do the sign of the Cross on right shoulder before left (examples of customs in the first Church as it spread from the birthplace of Christ). Entire liturgy is sung-chanted by a cantor with the priest weaving in song and prayer. Communion only for those who have received Orthodox rites. An important experience for Christians, Catholics to encounter the rites of the ancient church. The rector is English, thus helpful for Westerners and non-Slavs in being a bridge to a culture, language and history unfamiliar to us. This church presents an opportunity for pure worship and touching into the essence of Christianity that brings the parishoner into the world of the earliest Church. Please check scedule posted in vestibule and join in a divine liturgy to enrich your Christian faith, worship, and sense of direct historical lineage.
