  This church has saved my life, and is the best thing to ever happen to me. People here are warm, friendly, and full of light. They help you with actually integrating God into your daily life. They show you how you can enjoy the world around you without losing your soul to consumerism, greed, gluttony, lust, envy, and anger. They accept me as a feminist and a single person. There are female pastors, confident teenagers, carefree children, loving and attentive leaders, and former inmates who hold the door open for you to the church cafe. You can shout with joy or cry over past grief -- either way, someone will be right beside you to listen and join you. This church is as close to heaven as you will ever get on earth.

  Bayside has been my husband and my Church home for 20 years. The Vision and the servants heart that Ray Johnston has shown is just so lovely to listen to and watch. He has a heart for all people. He is one of the most encouraging person I have ever heard or met. Pastors that have such a heart for God and for people. Reaching deep and wide to share God’s love in our community and around the world. A worship team that leads into pure worship. We started coming in our early thirties when our kids were young. We are now 50 years old with grandchildren. I would highly recommend any and everybody to come to Bayside. It is and will continue to be our Church home. They do what they say they will do.   Bayside has become my home church ever since I lived in Loomis a few years ago. Great Bible based, Jesus loving, people focused and mission oriented church. Great place to connect with good people and fellowship in a relaxing and presence of God filled atmosphere.

  Playground is enclosed in the fence, and the splash pad is right next to it. Son loved playing here while we waited for our next appointment. Sadly not much shade on hot days so be prepared for that. Only shade is under the trees away from the water and your kiddo. Super nice here! Water was cold and it was a good time! Side note, there are no bathrooms that we could find.

  I’ve been attending Bayside Church Granite Bay for over 20 years, and I can honestly say it’s a place where both longtime believers and those who are just starting to explore faith will feel welcome. If you’re someone who loves deep Bible teaching, you’ll be fed here. The messages are thoughtful, grounded, and often just what you need to hear. But what really stands out is the heart behind everything—they care deeply about people. As a volunteer, I’ve seen the love and support poured into Bible studies, kids camps, weekly classes, ministries, and community outreach. And if you’re new to the idea of church or just curious about God, this is a seeker-friendly church where you can ask questions, take your time, and explore faith in a safe, encouraging environment. Yes, it’s a big church—but once you plug into a small group or serving opportunity, you’ll discover real connection and community. Come check it out one Sunday—I’ll even save you a seat!

  Down to earth people who are very welcoming. Pastors are very funny and keep my attention. Plenty of things for the kiddos to do and service is not too long, just perfect. Music and stage are awesome!

  My 1st Church Service since the pandemic in March 2020. I have been staying out of the way and under radar but, I miss church so much. One of My friends from work invited me to fellowship at their church (he and his wife's) church for Easter Sunday. There were as many as 300 baptisms taking place that Sunday morning during service. The Energy Was Amazing! As they emerged from the water many of them shouted "Praise God" and lifted their hands to the sky. It was a Blessing to be in the House of The Lord. I wire my mask because there were so many people. The experience was more like a concert experience. I am usually a member of small to medium size churches. I find it easier to get to know everyone and build relationships. I prefer a more intimate congregation but, I did enjoy my experience at Bayside. I would like to attend again on a regular day, meaning a non-holiday service. Everyone was extremely helpful and kind.

  I spent several years at Bayside Church (2015–2019), attending weekly services, joining a small group, and regularly going to the Thursday night 18.25 service. I genuinely wanted this place to be a spiritual home, but over time it became clear it wasn’t. Bayside operates more like a brand than a church. The emphasis on money, growth, and production overshadowed humility and faith. Repeated references by Pastor Ray Johnston to his wealth and lifestyle in Granite Bay made it uncomfortable to sit through sermons while donation appeals were front and center. The church is also deeply entangled in politics. What finally stood out to me was the selective empathy, dedicated services and public support for C. Kirk, while remaining silent about Renee Good. That contrast was hard to ignore and left me questioning whose pain and voices actually matter here. Services rely heavily on spectacle, loud music, lights, and stage production, which may appeal to some, but felt hollow and performative rather than spiritually grounded. I left years ago and won’t be returning. If you’re seeking a faith community rooted in compassion, inclusivity, and Christ-like values, this may not be the place.

  I attended this church in 2019 at the time I was in a relationship. The relationship ended the church took my ex's side and refused to hear me out. I feel like they need to have compassion on people when they're going through hard times not shun and embarrass them. I will not say names but one particular pastor played a part in my falling out with the church and since then I have been reluctant to attend any church.
