  This is an amazing place to worship God! This is the church me and my family, "The Honea's" attend:) The kids club area has been great for our twin babies and also for our older kids, they teach them different Bible stories and play games while we go to the adult service and focus on Gods message instead of chasing after little ones! The pastoral staff here is great, Pastor Waylon is an incredible man of God and we are very thankful for his faithfulness to Christ and for the example he sets for men and fathers like me! If you're a new comer to church or looking for a new church to attend, give Zion City a chance!

  As a young disabled person in Tucson, I am morally obligated to write this review because I believe awareness needs to be raised about how low-income, disabled, mentally struggling, and at-risk individuals are sometimes treated when attempting to access community resources through faith-based organizations. Today, on May 27, 2026 at approximately 12:06 PM, I received a phone call from a pastor at Zion City Church in Tucson regarding a benevolence request I originally submitted on May 14, 2026 for assistance with a phone bill. By the time I finally received a response, the issue had already been resolved by a friend who helped me financially. What deeply disturbed me was the LACK OF COMPASSION AND HUMANITY shown during the interaction. After waiting nearly two weeks for a response, I received a very cold and emotionally dismissive call where I was simply told, word for word, “We can’t help you.” without even a simple apology, empathy, or meaningful explanation as to why assistance could not be provided. What made the situation even more confusing and emotionally painful is that earlier that same day, my case manager Danyell from COPE Community Services- Craycroft Location, had specifically emailed this same pastor regarding food assistance for me and instructions for me to come later that afternoon. I genuinely believed the pastor was calling regarding the food support because I am currently struggling with food access!!! However, when I mentioned the food box referral, I was met with confusion and the response “um, no,” despite the fact my care team had already been actively advocating for me through direct communication with this church. At the time of the call, I was physically struggling with severe lethargy and pain related to my diagnosed chronic back and neck pain and had gone home intending to update my case manager after her lunch break at 1 PM. What makes this even more heartbreaking to me is that this is not my first difficult experience seeking support through church-based assistance programs in Tucson. I have previously spoken publicly in another Google review regarding experiences involving St. Vincent de Paul and St. Cyril of Alexandria where I similarly felt emotionally dismissed while trying to access support during vulnerable moments. Seeing repeated patterns of cold communication while people are struggling for food, stability, mental health support, and basic dignity is deeply discouraging. This experience forced me to reflect on a larger issue happening not only in Tucson, but across our nation. We are living in a time where more people are speaking openly about systemic failures, abuse of power, lack of compassion, mental health crises, poverty, and vulnerable people being overlooked while those in positions of authority continue operating without accountability or humanity. Why are we not advocating more for struggling youth, disabled individuals, mentally vulnerable people, and low-income communities? WHY ARE THE PEOPLE ALREADY HURTING THE MOST SO OFTEN TREATED AS BURDENS INSTEAD OF HUMAN BEINGS WORTHY OF CARE, DIGNITY, AND ENCOURAGEMENT? Faith-based organizations especially should understand the emotional and spiritual responsibility they hold when interacting with vulnerable people. How can society expect mental health to improve if people are met with coldness when they finally gather the courage to ask for help? As someone who genuinely believes in God and the teachings of Christ, I could not ignore how spiritually disheartening this interaction felt. Matthew 25:35 says: “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.” The world does NOT change by SILENCING STRUGGLING people. It CHANGES by EMPOWERING them, ADVOCATING for them, HELPING them HEAL, and GIVING them PLATFORMS to SPEAK about what VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES are truly EXPERIENCING. I hope this review encourages deeper reflection on how low-income, disabled, and struggling individuals are treated across the nation when reaching out for basic human support.

  Pastor Sears, amazing!!! He has the grace to preach. Makes service interesting and fun. I want him to be the one that marries my daughter and future son in law. The building is extremely nice with exceptional Cafe staff! I look forward to each and every Sunday. This is the place to be if you are wanting to understand scripture and just wanting to have a relationship with our Lord and savior.

  Been going to this church since it was Victory Assembly of God, and pastor Zane Anderson was head pastor, always packed.We had to make room for more people. The Lord is here in this house.

  We attended the OV church for a while which had amazing pastors at it. The issue was with the main campus after we brought up a problem with Zion City's association with Gateway church, in TX as well as Tom Lane. Long story short: in 2020 Gateway had attempted to help hide and deny the existence of widespread SA of minors at my former church in Oklahoma City which had caused irreversible damage to one of my family members and numerous friends. That church was ultimately shut down as a result. 2026 update: google what happened with Gateway Church's Robert Morris to see what we tried to talk to ZC pastors about. In a sad twist, ZC's overseer was actually one of the pastors who attempted to cover up the criminal activities for Morris. When we met with a couple of ZC pastors about this situation, the first one was genuinely appalled. In a separate meeting, a second pastor admitted that Zion City pays monthly fees to be a member of the "Gateway Network" and that nothing will likely change there since it is strictly a business relationship to help ZC with networking. This pastor went on to tell us that ZC is looking to expand as much as possible in southern AZ and that is the main focus when it comes to things. The pastor attempted to reassure us that despite Zion City's unfortunate connection to Gateway and how one of their pastors was a ZC overseer, he "knows God called him to AZ" to work for Zion City which is great but it had absolutely nothing to do with the red flags we were raising. After the second meeting, we were completely ghosted. In summary, ZC was clear with us that they do not care about much more than a massive expansion, even when child SA is involved with their ministry partners. I guess in a way, I was grateful for their honesty. The screenshot of this review is also being uploaded as a photo because it had previously accumulated a lot of engagement from Google users before ZC had it removed.

  Been coming and going for years. Moved across town and still make the trip. Definitely a great spot to be filled with the holy spirit, they have a spot for english, Spanish and kids. Got a great splash pad area. Teen worship on Wednesday. And a Barista with quality coffee, free water with lemons and limes. Love this church truly Blessed🙌

  Went to see the Mural that was just completed. A little out of the way but all i csn say is the artist that painted that mural did a super job. A little hard to get a picture of inside the church fence as it was just my that huge. If you are visiting tucson area it really is worth going out of your way. Joe Pagac sincerely deserves whatever bragging rights he can get. Wow!!!!!
